About JOSA
Good bedding, in the sizes European beds actually use.
JOSA started with a complaint. Good bedding was either beautiful or affordable, and the beautiful kind went grey after one winter of weekly washes.
What we decided
Buy from the same mills every season, so the colour of a duvet cover bought in March still matches the shams bought in November. Wash the linen before it ships, so it is soft on the first night rather than the tenth. Cut everything to European bed sizes rather than translating American ones badly.
What that means in practice
Flax from Normandy, spun and woven in Europe.
Long-staple Egyptian cotton, genuinely 400 thread count, counted the honest way.
OEKO-TEX certified dyes, because this cloth is against your face for a third of your life.
Sets designed together, not assembled from whatever matched.
What we are not
We are not a mill and we do not pretend to be. We choose, we test, and we say plainly where a thing is made. If a fabric disappoints us after a season of washing, it leaves the shop.
